Treads WS-4 and WA-4 Tread CA Balusters Railings Sizes Design Options and Ordering

Balusters All WS and WA stairs are normally supplied with two balusters per tread, spaced equally on each tread. The distance between the balusters is determined by the diameter of the stair and the degree of the tread. Generally, code requirements are met with two balusters per tread. However, additional balusters can be provided, if desired. A one baluster per tread stair will cost less.

 

The standard baluster is 3/4" round steel. Other materials, such as brass or stainless steel, are available on special request, as are custom cast balusters. Balusters for cast stairs are normally 3/4" round solid bar. Special balusters are available for a more customized stair.
